PROGRAM
Spreading the passion of research to the greater community
The Stuyvesant Research Mentoring Program founded by Justin Wangying Lam ('20) and Ethan Samuel Lin ('21) aims to connect upperclassmen with underclassmen, who are interested in science research. In this program, underclassmen are paired with an experienced student who has conducted research in their field of interest. Through in-depth lessons and frequent one-on-one meetups with the mentor, the program guides freshman and sophomores through the process of finding a lab and helps them gain invaluable research experience.
SRMP Details
The Stuyvesant Research Mentoring Program offers a multitude of ways for students to get mentored in scientific research. We focus on describing what research is, how to read research articles, and what type of lab opportunities are available for students.
Our goal is to help aspiring student researchers develop their scientific interest and enable them to get a foothold in the research world.
