SIGMA
FUSION
Building bridges and empowering scientists without borders.
Our global initiative FUSION was founded by William Shiu (‘25) to transcend borders by merging the diversity in scientific inquiry of scholars around the world for our research magazine SIGMA— “Sum of All Knowledge”. In nuclear physics, fusion represents the merging of atomic nuclei to release energy. At The Research Club, this energy is harnessed and aimed to unlock the door to a more integrated tomorrow.
Crafted by scientists around the World, for the World.
Fusion technology guarantees not just anyone, but everyone, has equitable access to clean energy. Like energy, access to science is a luxury today. FUSION strives to close the gap between innovation and access by distributing SIGMA to information-stricken regions of the world.
We also operate an international scientist-pal network in partnership with STEM IS US. This platform facilitates dialogue between our scientists and our readers from 18 countries. Inquiries are carefully deliberated by our team before being returned via mail!
